Cam sent me this link (so I'd be fair and balanced) to a story about how EA is admitting they put their employees through the ringer, and will be trying harder to make their lives more bearable.

I understand if you don't want to comment in public on the 'net (a couple of us here have faced the business end of that cattle prod), but feel free to email me and let me know if the Vancouver office is as much of a slave-pit as these articles make the American opeartion out to be.
I've heard rumours to the effect that this "leaked" memo is nothing but a contrived PR move on EA's part.
Makes it look like they're addressing the problem and admitting a degree of guilt--when in reality they might not be.
Yeah, but on the other hand, industry-wide employees of game companies get treated like crap. So I wouldn't be surprised if it's on the up and up.
