Gamers in Iraq

Turns out (according to an Iraqi blogger, anyway) Iraqis are all over the video games. I'm not sure why this gives me a glimmer of hope for that benighted country, but for some reason it does.

He also mentioned Iraqis prefer the Dreamcast to the Xbox or Gamecube. Nice to see such fine taste in game consoles. I own a Xbox myself, but I'll be the first to say the Dreamcast was a great console, with terrible luck in the marketplace.

Dreamcast. The only system that was destroyed primarily by piracy. I almost feel bad about that...

For 2D games it can't be beat. The 3D was no slouch either. Let's not forget it played MP3s, VCDs and emulated various 16-bit systems.

Oh, and it played PS1 games BETTER than the PS2 did. Go figure.

"We got her!"

From one of the most incoherent, but undeniably slickest, launch commercials ever. Which, by the way, is a bitch to track down online.
