I gotta take issue with John Travolta being on the "better" list. The guy has a head like a balloon on regular tv!
Though it's interesting that film is more forgiving than hi-def, given they have the same resolution, more or less, and film is always on a bigger screen. I guess the film industry has had over 100 years to get everything fine tuned, unlike the new and untested waters of high definition tv.
