Wolfowitz and Hughes representing America to the world? Uhh.....

Bush is pushing arch-fiend and neocon Paul Wolfowitz to be the new head of the World Bank, as well as appointing strident mendicant Karen Hughes to represent America to the Arab world. To which I can only say...WTFBBQ?

People are already comparing Wolfowitz to Robert Macnamara, who also presided over a difficult war and then headed up the World Bank. But the difference here is that Macnamara wasn't a rabid ideologue. He also spent his formative years fighting the Nazis, and his later career working against a counteracting force in the form of the Russians. Wolfowitz is an empire builder built on asserting American supremacy throughout the world.

And Karen Hughes....she's just vile. A shrill demagogue who's view of the world doesn't extend much further than Texas. Ugh.

Like Macnamara, do you think that they'll make an Oscar-winning documentary on Wolfowitz later on, where it's just him talking to the camera, with clips, and about 10 minutes worth of him licking his comb before running it through his hair? Here's hoping.

Yikes. Fog of War is a great movie, but watching a movie with Wolfowitz would probably be somewhat akin to smashing my nuts with a mallet.
