Indie bookstores not so different from corporate megaliths

Like many arts degree holding pseudo-intellectuals, I did my time in a independent bookstore. While my experiences weren't that bad, this acrticle makes the fairly valid point that the differences between big-box book marts and indie stores aren't as wide as you'd think.

Pretty much the same in a lot of industries... and usually the result of people who don't have a lot of experience working at the bottom buying or ass-kissing their way into the top of a company...
