weird celebrity sighting

Myself and Hodson were wandering down Nelson St last night when we walked past Calista Flockhart and Harrison Ford. She doesn't look as scrawny as she did in her Ally McBeal days, and Ford didn't look anywhere near as old as he has in his last few movies.

It was kind of weird passing by THE Han Solo in the street. If I'd been clever I would have said "of course you shot first!" to Ford, but a) he probably wouldn't get such a nerdy Star Wars reference, and b) I came up with that several hours after I'd passed them by. :)

On a trip to the Vancouver Aquarium in 1992, our school group were honoured to share our experience with the Olsen family, complete with the two twins, Mary-Kate and Ashley, aged all of 6 at that time. Their parents were also there, as well as their chronically ignored older brother. The twins ran around non-stop.

At one point, I broke off from the group to go exploring on my own. As I was approaching a corner, I heard stampeding of little feet and stopped. Both the twins came barreling 'round, not at all aware of their immediate surroundings. Had I not stopped, they would have both ran directly into each of my knees, felling them. I could have stopped them. I could have saved the world. One day, I will have to atone and finish the job...

I once tried to convince a co-worker to run over Lorraine Mansbridge outside of Global as she walked past our car, but no dice. His sense of morality prevented us from ridding the world of a terrible monster. :(

I met Helix once. We had pizza. True story. Swear to God.

Frey, did Harrison have any goons around him or was he just, you know, kickin' it?

I can't believe Steve almost had a three-way with the Olsen twins.

Nah, Ford just had Flockhart with him. In a way I'm glad I didn't really acknowledge him; after all, he and the skeleton lady were just minding their business and walking down the strret like everyone else.

Ford reads this blog quite regularly, though, from what I hear, so he knows that you saw him, Frey.

Hah! Damn, I can't beat that. I once saw the "Road to Hell" guy (from that NAIT video our class had to watch) in front of Rebar, but I was so torqued up on the liquor it could have been anyone. I believe that was the night of my infamous Southern Gentleman quote to the bouncer, "Suh, I am the essence of sobriety. Now let me pass!" :)

He did not let me pass. :)
