Here's one guy's take on the new iPod, and what it means for downloadable video content. I like where he's going with this, though of course it's all random speculation and (informed) handwaving.

Oh, I think it will. The key is that not just Mac owners have iPods, and PC guys are notoriously cheap bastards. Not that I'm against free content, either. :)
Plus, Apple can bitch, but as far as I know H.264 is a standard, and if the shows aren't even available on the ITMS (and I'm betting with some of my fave British stuff, they won't be) what do they expect?
Plus at worst I break out the FFMPEGX and convert some of this stuff myself, though for TV shows I'd rather have them go straight to the iPod, as I'll just end up deleting them after I watch 'em anyway.
