That's a fine piece of editorializing Freyburg. Nowhere in the article did they say it was done "for kicks". If anything I think you could infer "shits and giggles", but not "kicks". ;)
Looks like some private contractors in Iraq have been shooting up civilian vehicles for kicks, and there's video (shot by the murderous idiots themselves) to prove it. Way to fight terrorism and bring freedom to the Middle East, morons.

Apparently these guys were on the road to the Baghdad Airport, which is the most dangerous stretch of highway in the world. So they could have been legitimately covering their asses against suicide attacks, but the people they were shooting at didn't look like they were about to ram 'em or anything. I'd still bet a bunch of mercenaries are running wild without a whole lot to keep them in check. It's not like there's enough American soldiers around to keep these guys under control.
