Apple's new (future) video empire

We're all used to Apple fans speculating madly and bending reality to suit their particular taste of crazy. But a columnist at thestreet.com, not exactly a repository of "APPLE RULZ0RS!" types, is predicting Apple will dominate the world of online video downloads (and audio, which it already does dominate.) And he goes on to say that online video will overtake other form of couch potato-ism soon. Interesting.

Here's my completely unrelated prediction....I think the reason they went to a stupid name like the "Macbook Pro" is so not only can they rebrand the iBook as the Macbook, but they can then come out with a ultra-small computer called the "Podbook." There have been rumours that Apple is going to work on a fashionable, compact computer aimed at women, and it's a market nobody has tackled yet. Hell, I'd love to have a tiny Mac with a 9 inch screen that I could easily tote around. It'd kinda suck for games, but hey, that's what the Xbox is for. :)

I agree with the Macbook speculation, that is the same thing I thought. My question is what the hell are they going to call the Powermacs, it better not be Mactower Pro.
