If there's any justice, "Crash" will take Best Picture. I base this on the fact that I haven't seen any of the other four nominated films, but "Crash" stands well enough on its own merit.
The big night is almost upon is. My plans to host a party were shafted by the fact that my condo's media room suffers from "not-being-done-itis." So I'm relocating to a friend's place for a smaller scale event. It'll be interesting, as most of my Oscar parties have been male-dominated shoutfests, and this one is a estrogen soaked "ooo, thats a nice dress" red carpet special (I think I'm probably the only male there). I couldn't give two toots about the dresses and celebrities and whatnot, so it'll be interesting to see how my screams of "that didn't deserve Best Sound Effects Editing you BASTARDS!" will mesh with the ladies. Probably not too well. :)
At any rate, for the last few years we've had a virtual taunt-a-thon on my site, seeing as how my Movie Central posse is spread far and wide, so I'm thinking we should do the same this year. I'll get a post up Sunday afternoon, and then let the witty banter commence! Meanwhile, throw down some predictions.

Crash is an excellent movie and will most likely take best picture. However, Steven, your logic baffles me.:)
