Playstation 3 rings in at $650

Ahhh, Sony. Your arrogance is without peer. $650 for a console that boasts...well, not a lot other than tuned up graphics. Or at least, not much the 360 can't deliver, and with better online play. And it looks like despite the downright retarded name, the Nintendo Wii will be a gameplay powerhouse.

This should really heat up the war between Microsoft and Sony. I wonder what consumers will decide - price or power?

If I were going to choose between the two, the hands down winner would be Microsoft. Sony did not impress, and Microsoft has GTA IV, as well as the new Live, which looks sweet.

BUt I'm probably going to opt for an Intel tower Mac. That givs me some Mac awesomeness, coupled with PC gameplay on a Windows partition. And thanks to the new Live service, I can play against Xbox 360 owners. Sounds good to me. Going PC (well, Mac, but with Bootcamp its the same diff) gives me the best set of options, overall.

PlayStation 3 is going to be great. Blu-ray isn't Betamax as many say, it will truly be a format that people use. It has so many advantages over Microsoft and Nintendo. Over the Xbox 360, PS3 will have motion detection in the controllers, a 60 GB HD, blu-ray playing (those will cost 700+ when they come out), exclusivity in games, better processor, and the fan base. I can't wait.
