I think I still have the tape of the premiere of "Remembrance of the Daleks" where I snapped up one of the three Tom Baker scarves. And they actually said my name on air during a pledge drive a few years later when I bought a McGann logo T-shirt. Oh, sweet fame, how I have supped at thee.
Heh, I kicked in some money during the (well, a) drive that had the McGann t-shirt... there was a deal for two shirts for some silly amount of money, the other one being just the DW logo (in blue) from the movie... I still have the shirts, too. They've not fit for a very long time though. =)
(And no, the shirts didn't shrink. =) )
I don't recall what drive that was for, nor do I recall KSPS premiering Remembrance. I do recall when Dragonfire first aired though, as that happened on the Saturday of the convention here in 1988, and when I was in the quiz competition on the Sunday of that weekend, there was a question about Dragonfire that I got wrong because I hadn't seen it all the night before (because I was at the convention!).
But the question everyone wants to know it is bigger in the T-Shirt than it is on the outside
Damn. RFS is one picture away from being bumped off the main page, where we've been for the past 3 months.
Well, that's got more to do with my own laziness than anything else. When's the next meetup going to be? We should have that one in Vancouver. :)
My lack of job prevents me from spending money, hence it's back to generic macaroni and cheese as opposed to the Kraft Dinner for me. But I'd like to come westward for a podcast meet-up, for sure! And I have a really good feeling about my 6/49 numbers for this Wednesday!
