In a world where buildings get smashed by airplanes piloted by Islamic fundamentalists and the most powerful man in the world claims to have personal conversations with God, it's not surprising that the public is giving atheism a second look. Richard Dawkins, Christopher Hitchens and others are imploring mankind to ditch the make-believe and think rationally, and it appears not without some success.
