Infest Wisely - lo-fi sci-fi from TO

Jim Munroe, the brains behind No Media Kings, collaborated with a bunch of filmmakers to create Infest Wisely, a series of ten minute shorts that combine into a feature. He's releasing the shorts week by week, on the web as well as through podcasts. The films are done for next to nothing using bargain basement equipment, but make up for a lack of Hollywood spectacle through imagination and clever writing. Neat stuff.

Interesting, I like the episode where the guy gets hijacked.

So far, I like the third one best, the one where the woman eats the nanogum and takes pictures with her eyes.

I also like the lo-fi aesthetic of the movies. I read some of the press on the website, and I found what the creators said about "working with what we had, rather than what we wish we had" to be very interesting. That's probably why our movies with Golden Gonks and Lester in a Jedi bathrobe fell short of the mark. :)
