Bush’s flimsy grasp on history

George W. Bush likes to compare himself to Harry S Truman, which is both untrue and an insult to Truman’s memory. The late, great David Halberstam wrote a fine article in this month’s Vanity Fair which shows just how out of line the Bushites view of contemporary history is with reality.
