Cory Doctorow interview

by

Cory Doctorow, who wrote Down and Out in the Magic Kingdom and Eastern Standard Tribe, is interviewed on O’Reilly today. He has a new book coming out, a present-day fantasy tale involving Wifi and dumpster divers.

Doctorow can get a little hand-wavy and “OMG world changing because wikibots meme podcast” sometimes, but he’s still a decent writer and clearly puts a lot of thought into what all the innovation boiling underneath the net’s surface really means. So I’ll probably check out his new book, particularly if he releases a free e-book to go along with it, as he has with his previous two novels.

Warren Frey is a journalist, freelance writer, podcaster, video producer, and all-around media consultant currently based in Vancouver, Canada. His written work has appeared in such publications as Metro Vancouver, the Westender, Mac | Life and the Japan Times.
