Radio Free Skaro #101 – Pompeii up the Volume

by

The Three Who Rule waxed eloquent this week upon “The Fires of Pompeii”, one of the highlights of Season Four and ruminated upon a surfeit of news, most of it debunking headlines from the Sun (which will later prove to be true, most likely.) Hilarity and shenanigans for all! Or…something. Anyway, enjoy the episode.

I have never understood why it seem that I’m the only person that likes Warriors Gate.

I thought that most of the music from season 4 was just stuff from season 3, thought I have to agree with Warren that the sound editing for the Series 4 was badly done.

One thing that I have found annoying with the new series is that the companions keep asking why they can understand what aliens are saying. That was suppose to be a function of the TARDIS was suppose to go unnoticed.

Yeah, Steven is correct on what the vomitorium are.

I have a request of RFS you guys need to use the Slitheen version of the Doctor Who theme music at the end of a podcast. If you don’t have it warren I’m sure that Chris has it. I got it from him.

I was on iTunes and did a search for DW for the podcasts and I find it strange that RFS doesn’t show up on the list of DW podcasts.

I am Steven says:

Maybe we should call register the podcast as “Doctor Who: Radio Free Skaro” in search engines.

We’re not changing the theme song until a version of it is done with barking and howling dogs.

Warren Frey says:

Yeah, I second the vote against the farting theme. 🙂

iTunes is a strange beast. And I know we have listeners who have specifically found the podcast while screwing around looking for Whocasts in iTunes, though I’ve run into the same thing as you, Michael. Maybe it’s a problem with the Canadian version of the iTunes Store….

I thought all things Apple were infallible….? Just like T-Mat.

jabberwocky says:

Well Apple is good but its not infallible, especially when it comes to iTunes handling podcasts things are not quite there when it comes to filing and organizing it all.

Barking and howling dogs version of the DW theme would make a good ending for the podcast.

I Am Steven says:

Or cats meowing. I think they released a cat-based Who theme as a B-side to an all cat version of “MacArthur Park” in the UK in the 1970’s.

jabberwocky says:

How about the theme of Abslom Daak.

Harvey says:

I was at the ’94 Pink Floyd concert in Edmonton too. I was the other guy cheering when they played the Doctor Who theme. 🙂
