Radio Free Skaro #102 – How very Ood

by

The Three Who Rule tackled “Planet of the Ood” this week, one of the better efforts of Series Four and, due to the strange nature of the Ood visage, a chance to make many jokes about ladyparts. There were also terrible puns involving the word “ood.” Oodly enough (ouch.) Enjoy, all!

I think its more impractical than the Joey.
I see the the Security guy guy and I think, what did the chef do to you Everton to make you so evil.

The thing I found interesting about this episode is that the Doctor and Donna were completely Ineffectual. Their really wasn’t anything either of them did that changed what would have happened if they were never there. They did not incite the Ood into rebellion, they didn’t stop the bad guys. All they did was run around and figure out what everyone else was doing.

I kind of like episodes where things aren’t necessarily triggered by the Doctor, but he’s there to try and stop/start the events, nonetheless. “The Seeds of Doom” and “The Caves of Androzani” are two more stories like that, and they end up in complete bloodbaths.

It’s nice to see that not all the death and destruction in the universe can be laid at the Doctor’s feet.

jabberwocky says:

Well I think that turning off the bombs was the only reason that the Doctor was there.

jabberwocky says:

Can any of the blood baths truly be the fault of the Doctor?
