Radio Free Skaro # 78 – No News from Pompeii

In this gripping episode of Radio Free Skaro, the Three Who Rule discuss The Fires of Pompeii, the latest adventure for the Doctor and his erstwhile assistant Donna Noble….and not much else, really. It was a rather slow week for news, though much jocular speculation on the contents of the rest of the season did manage to fill some of the dead, dead air. Next week, fear the Ood!

James Moran has said in the commentary for the episode that, indeed, the Sisters of Karn were an inspiration for his sisters of Pompeii act.

The Oooooood episode has garnered a 5/5 Fear Factor rating on the BBC website. I like the episodes that the kids find scary.

If we don’t get at least three mentions of the Ood’s neighbour, the Sensorites, I will declare Planet of the Ood to be the biggest wasted opportunity since…..oh, Warriors of the Deep.
