Rumsfeld takes flak from troops (about time, too)

by

Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld took a grilling in Kuwait from troops back from and headed to Iraq about the sad state of their equipment. Apparently the troops have been reduced to grabbing scrap metal from Iraqi junkyards and lashing together makeshift protection they call “hillbilly armour.”

It’s about time Rummy took some abuse for this insane misfire of a war. I’m also curious if troops have done this sort of thing before and it just hasn’t been reported, or if the troops are really pissed off (as they have every right to be.)
