U2 vs. Negativland Special Edition iPod

by

Some fine fellow is auctioning off a U2 vs. Negativland special edition iPod on eBay. It’s essentially just a black U2 iPod, which comes with a discography of U2 music preinstaled, combined with a pile of Negativland albums. The packaging has also been changed. All the proceeds will go to Downhill Battle, the free music advocacy site.

For those not familiar with Negativland, the band put out a great single which featured Casey Kasem swearing up a storm about U2, as well as some cheeseball samples of “I still haven’t found what I’m looking for.” It’s a hilarious tune, which you can download here. Anyway, U2’s legal team sued the living hell out of Negativland, though they still fight the good fight.
