Dr. Who's first (and 27th) season...magnificent.

I don't want to give anything away to you non-downloaders out there, but the season finale of Doctor Who was absolutely stunning. In the words of the Doctor himself, it was "fantastic."

How did Whovians luck out? How, against all reason and logic, did a crew of talented folk take a British institution and successfully update it for the 21st century, unlike another moribund (cough...Trek..cough) franchise I could mention? I'm not sure why fate decided to smile on the greatest television show ever made (and old Who is still a whole lotta fun) but I ain't gonna question it. I'll just bask in the greatest second act I've ever seen grace the small screen.

That, and pine for the next new episode. Which, unfortunately, isn't until Christmas. Damn! :)

Christmas never seemed so far away as this year. It really was the best thing on TV this year, and it's good to see more than a few esteemed journalists and critics (and fans) agree. And we're guaranteed (at least) another two seasons and two Christmas specials. Here we thought that we would all enter a void once The Lord Of The Rings wrapped up...

And I could go on and on about Doctor Who still....you're right, Freyburg. Let's get a podcast going!

Well, it's too bad we never got off our asses and did a podcast when the show was on the air (or more accurately, being downloaded) but I'm thinking I'll come up with a more general podcast first where I can make all my mistakes. By Xmas, I should know what I'm doing and do the Greatest Show Ever justice.

But there's nothing stopping you (or any of the rest of you mendicants) from joining in on a Freyburg.com podcast. Feel free to use this space and tell me what you cats would want to see in a weekly BS fest, and who'd be interested in throwing down.
