A tip of the hat to my Movie Central homies

Word came through the transom today that everyone at my former TV gig, Movie Central, is going to get laid off come January, and the whole kit and caboodle will be shipped off to Toronto. Though the job was a brainstraining exercise in soulsuckery, I did make a lot of good friends (not to mention a few choice enemies.), some of whom still work there. Just wanted to let everyone know that ol' Freyburg's not only sympathetic to your plight, but also that ever since I left that place, things have gotten better and better. This is a blessing in disguise, my friends. Carpe diem. Feel free to vent and bitch in the comments section.

This is layoff #5 for me. It's not old hat yet, but it's getting there.

That's the TV game....expect utter loyalty, then toss out the peons when the urge strikes.

This will definitely be my last TV gig. I've no idea what I'm gonna do next but I figure I have about 8-9 months to figure it out. And I agree, Frey: this is indeed a blessing in disguise.

While at the time, a layoff can fill one with doubt and worry. But I can honestly say that everytime I have been laid off, a better opportunity came along afterwards.

If you call working at Movie Central better than working at Global...

Freyburg could not have said it better. Something happens to your life when you leave MC. Your life gets better. Incredibly better!
