Hardcore Superstar....sham?

A few months ago, a "legal valet" firm called Hardcore Superstar made a splash in the local media as a hip, edgy place to...uh, hire some lawyers. They even got a great looking fashion photoshoot done, courtesy of Vancouver fashion photographer Kris Krug. But now their website appears to be (and I have no confirmation of this, but it looks awful shaky) an elaborate ruse. Quotes like "stay tuned for our next art project" aren't usually splashed onto a law site. Or maybe their idea just didn't bring in any clients, and this is their way of saving face.

Any local bloggers/lawyers care to shed some light on the situation?

If it was indeed intended to be an art project, I think it worked too well, or not well enough. It seemed far too plausible, and far too mundane, to be provocative.

If they were trying to stick it to the man, where's the payoff? If they were trying to make us re-think the law, or lawyerdom, where's the discourse?

If they really wanted to be provocative, they should have gone with 'Nakedlawyers.com' or 'WillPracticeLawForFood.com' or some such thing.

You're gonna get a lot of comments on this thread and a lot more story than you anticipated. Stay tuned. :)

Hmm, and now the site is entirely down. No 'stay tuned' message or anything.

kk+, do you mean comments NOT selling erectile dysfunction drugs? Because some of Freyburg's threads get a ton of those... :)
