A "borrowed" beta copy of WIndows 95, I seem to recall... :)
While I would have preferred a guided tour of the ancient Web 0.5 via Wang Laboritories, this video from DEC brings back a rush of memories of surfing the web on my old Pentium 90 chugging along using Windows 95.

Heh, yes, but borrowed from who? I remember one of my dad's colleagues refused to believe I had Win95 a few weeks before the release date.."No! That's not possible....it isn't out yet!"
"The Net" was filmed (at least in part) in 1995; I was at MacWorld Expo (San Francisco) during filming of the movie there, January 1995... so definitely there'd be a Sandra Bullock-less "Net" in 1994.
Hah.....well, all I remember about "The Net" is that it sucked. Unlike Hackers, which had a young and rather boyish looking Angelina Jolie. Rwwwooorr!
Where is the video. I get to a page about Al Gore?
WTF? Hmm, fixed. My bad!
The Net was Ok to a point but I felt that it missed the point of what computer networks and the Internet are. As for Hackers it was good watch, but the writer did have a few things wrong as well.

Wait a minute here... young and boyish looking? Is Warren a closet priest?!?!
