Free wireless in Vancouver=awesome

by

It remains to be seen whether or not they’ll actually pull this off, but supposedly Vancouver is going to get a city-wide wireless network up and running, presumably before the Vancouver Olympics. I’m sure how far out it’ll extend, but since I live in the downtown core I’m reasonably certain I’ll do just fine on the “always-on” front. I doubt the connection will be good enough to give up on cable (and my provider does fiber so I won’t be leaving its sweet, torrent-sucking folds anytime soon), but this news, combined with the impending iPhone, is most welcome.
