Social media My not be a fad but it certainly not a good thing either. In some way it could be more distructive than the industral revolution was. The thing that scares me the most is before we could ignore the ads on tv by turning off the sound, in magazine just flip past the page. With what is suggested by the video products and serves will find us wether or not we want or need them. So the only means of escape will be to turn off the cell phone, the computer, the mp3 player, or the netbook that we carry with us and stay disconnected from the world. And people wonder why I don’t twitter.

Warren Frey says:

Well in theory the products you want are the ones that will find you. And I’ll take a medium where the power of broadcasting is in the hands of everyone over one where its concentrated amongst a few power players. Don’t forget I worked in TV in the 90’s, so I saw the dinosaur from the inside, before it could see the furry, fast moving mammals headed its way.

That is so true, you got a very close view of the downfall or rome from up close and personal. I some time wonder how you managed to escape and survive. Come to think of it you also got to see how newspaper run as well. My brother is working for the Sun here in Edmonton as a graphic artist doing mainly colour correctings for the sunshine girl photos before they stopped doing that. Now he is just maintaning their website, and the PDF versions of the papers.
These are interesting times.
