Radio Free Skaro #103 – The Sontaran Soliloquy

by

With the Third Guy back in England and without any Internet to speak of at the moment, it was up to Warren and Steven to bring…very little in the way of news, a brief review of the first episode of Season 2 of the Sarah Jane Adventures, and a commentary for “the Sontaran Stratagem,” a welcome return of an old favorite enemy from the classic series. Not that the pair stayed on topic all that much (if at all) but nonetheless, things of a potato-headed nature were duly noted and celebrated.

Warren Frey is a journalist, freelance writer, podcaster, video producer, and all-around media consultant currently based in Vancouver, Canada. His written work has appeared in such publications as Metro Vancouver, the Westender, Mac | Life and the Japan Times.

I think that they do mention who Sarah jane works for in the Audio Plays, but I have not listened fully to them.
Gallifrey 2009 so you guys will be doing to before a live convention audience, interesting but if you guys include yourselves then who is going to be the Fourth person that is going to be the live audience?
I think that the helmet effect on the SJA was not a good thing I liked it when it is simply the helmet that is taken off. the thing that I don’t like about the Sontaran outfit is the colours that are used I think they are to comical.
for how they looked in the past episodes I think they were the least interesting when all you could see from time to time was the actor sticking their touch out.
The really big question mark the the Sontarans invading Earth was what happened between the first time they invaded to the time in the future when they come to the Earth to do a survey on the weaknesses of the human race. did the Sontaran nation go into a dark time in which they had forgotten everything about the human race?

I don’t think Chris will steel someone’s cable to watch SJA or DW, he downloads everything.

I am Steven says:

Maybe The Sontaran Experiment takes place after The Sontaran Stratagem? I can’t remember if the potato heads could travel in time or not. If they can, that would just leave humans and the late, lamented folk of Bandraginus V as the only species in the universe who haven’t adequately mastered time travel.

Warren Frey says:

Well, it would have to be after the Sontaran Stratagem, since Experiment takes place after the Earth has been ravaged during the Ark in Space period in the future, right? I might not be able to remember anybody’s name, but damn it I ain’t on top of the timey-wimey. 🙂

jabberwocky says:

the sontarans only were able to do limited time manipulation for the most part. In the two doctors they were after time travel technology.
Steven if you are not interested in getting an iPhone then how about an iPodtouch. Video is great on those as well, I got myself a 32 gb one.

I Am Steven says:

Nah, I’ve made my $250 donation to Steve Jobs’s retirement fund already.

jabberwocky says:

That wasn’t his retirement fund you donated to. it was for the research to enable him to live forever.
