Radio Free Skaro #122 – Live from Gallifrey

by

For the first time in recorded history, in an event sure to be recorded in the annals of time across all universes parallel and otherwise, the RFS crew met in person at Gallifrey 2009 in Los Angeles, and thus was a podcast birthed from the loins of the Airport Marriott. And as a special bonus, John Williams and Neil Perryman of Tachyon TV joined in on the fun and regaled us with tales of Torchwood dodginess, Tomorrow People memories, and the utter strangeness of Sapphire and Steel.

I don’t believe that you guys are all together where is the photographic proof?

Benjamin Elliott says:

Hi. Listened to your Friday podcast early this morning while editing TWIDW. Note 1 – unless that bar has cut their prices since last year, how could you all afford the alcohol? Note 2 – Sarah Jane Adventures are doing a Red Nose Day episode in March. Mr. Smith with a Red Nose – hmm. Note 3 – your Canadian audiences might want to know that Ztele will begin airing the French language Torchwood Series 2 on Monday February 23 (High Definition and Standard). You can leak to the Podshock guys (I’d suggest a scrap of paper slipped under their door) that KUED in Salt Lake City just got Doctor Who Series 3, coming in April. Looking forward to the other episodes this weekend, and I wish I was out there with you all.

Man, that’s crappy timing for a Doctor Who fandom event, having it on Valentine’s Day weeken… oh, right.

Warren says:

Hey Benjamin, the bar did indeed have outrageous prices on alcohol. For instance, a big glass of beer there cost as much as a six pack of decent beer down the street. So we used the bar for interviews and drank in the lobby most of the time. 🙂
