A growing trend, at least according to the NYT, is the “secret room,” a generally small space devoted to work or play that a few homeowners are cobbling together in their otherwise normal suburban tracts. Anybody who read comics or mysteries as a kid can instantly see the apeal of such a room, clearly. More coverage at Archinect and BLDGBLG, two architecture nerd hotspots.
