The rise of Stephen Colbert

by

A little over a year ago, Colbert was merely one of the highlights of the Daily Show. Now his over-the-top, right-wing persona is tearing up the internets, insulting President Bush, and generally throwing a comedic wrench into the political process. New York magazine has a profile of the bespectacled faux-pundit.

Warren Frey is a journalist, freelance writer, podcaster, video producer, and all-around media consultant currently based in Vancouver, Canada. His written work has appeared in such publications as Metro Vancouver, the Westender, Mac | Life and the Japan Times.
