by Japonecakes!

AKB48 is a super popular group in Japan of young girls who croon at otakus, who then swoon at the attention from real live females. The group’s creator decided that this formula is successful enough to take it in a bold new direction, and so he’s created OJS48, the world’s first supergroup composed of old retired Japanese detectives. Pure genius.

Gundam games on the iPhone….are we doomed?

by Warren Frey

Gundam games are like mold. THey spread on practically every platform and aren’t very good for you. While Japanese gamers are intensely loyal to their national franchise, gamers in the West just roll their eyes, as the games (usually) embody every hoary anime cliche imaginable and more importantly just aren’t good games to begin with.

And now Gundam has arrived on the iPhone. Are the games any good?

Check these videos out and judge for yourself. My money would be on “meh” but then again, fighting games are a decent subgenre for these characters.
