And then we ate him.

And then we ate him.
Mel having a time with some bacon and rice noms.
Angry Birds, Fallout New Vegas, iPhones in Japan, dual analog sticks and augmented reality! How’s that for a lot of stuff in a podcast?
One of the best (ok only) things about Japanese TV is the ads. This particular bit of genius from Softbank is certifiable gold. Who can resist a grumpy dog that barks orders and calls his son-in-law to be (?) a pussy?
Yes, Valve’s co-op zombie bashing masterpieces are on their way to your Apple product this coming week. And what’s more, they’ll likely include a new bit of DLC entitled “The Sacrifice”, which will (like all good fanwank) tie together the characters from each game. Here’s a teaser…
Gundam games are like mold. THey spread on practically every platform and aren’t very good for you. While Japanese gamers are intensely loyal to their national franchise, gamers in the West just roll their eyes, as the games (usually) embody every hoary anime cliche imaginable and more importantly just aren’t good games to begin with.
And now Gundam has arrived on the iPhone. Are the games any good?
Check these videos out and judge for yourself. My money would be on “meh” but then again, fighting games are a decent subgenre for these characters.
The BBC released a trailer promoting several Drama productions that will be airing in the next few months. The three-minute trailer is chock full of actors who were formerly Doctor Who (Christopher Eccleston, David Tennant), are Doctor Who (Matt Smith), and who could have been Doctor Who (Chiwetel Ejiofor), and there are even a couple of brief clips of the upcoming Doctor Who Christmas Special. Have a look!
