Nintendo going the way of Sega?

Here’s an article about how Nintendo might go the “software only” route Sega was forced into after the Dreamcast tanked. I hope not; Nintendo may have been a bunch of power-mad jerks back in the day, but recently they’ve been real innovators in the console arena, and the Gameboy is still the king of the ring for portables.

I myself have a GBA SP, which is a great little rig for getting your retro game on. I’m in no hurry to get a Nintendo DS, but the second screen and other new features do show Nintendo is willing to try a few new ideas with its hardware.
