China: the next software titans?


Could be, says Steven Levy, who profiles China’s emerging programming prowess in Newsweek. Levy wrote the excellent Hackers, a chronicle of the early years of computing at MIT and Stanford, so I’m prepared to take him at his word.

Warren Frey is a journalist, freelance writer, podcaster, video producer, and all-around media consultant currently based in Vancouver, Canada. His written work has appeared in such publications as Metro Vancouver, the Westender, Mac | Life and the Japan Times.
