I Am Steven says:

Not half as surreal as having the narrator from “Spiderman” and “Rocket Robin Hood” read the story about Malcolm X beforehand.

Warren says:

I knew I recognized that voice!

Murray Hogben says:

Back in the i950s and 1960s, I used to work for the CBC in Toronto. Tipped off by a friend with Front Page Challenge, I went over to meet post-Nation of Islam Malcolm X in the studio in very late 1964. I asked, as Secretary of our fledgling and very multiracial Muslim Society of Toronto, whether he would come and speak to us if he was ever back in Toronto. He contacted me not long after and flew up to see West Indian author Austin Clark about something, and then came home with me to dinner at our house. We then went to the Muslim Society of Toronto’s little storefront Islamic Centre at 3047 Dundas St. W., and he spoke, I gave him an Islamic decoration presentation, and he flew to NYC, being assassinated soon after. He was a great man and talking about him still chokes me up on occasion.
